Christina Gabbert and Günther Schlee are calling for papers for the panel “Lands of the Future – Futuremaking with Pastoralists in Africa” at this year’s VAD conference in Frankfurt, Germany, to discuss the future role of agro pastoralists in the 21st century within the rapidly changing challenges around land use, land investment, state-building, high modernism, biodiversity loss, and climate change.
